As for bowlers, it is generally accepted that the equivalent of scoring a century with the bat is capturing five wickets in an innings. There have been a total of 34 instances, out of which 24 different players have been responsible for achieving the feat, in which a single player has scored a century and also taken five wickets in the same test match. He scored a century in each of these five games, bringing his overall score to 103, 108, 114, 149, and 138 runs.
